The Windy Tee Limited operates a golf simulator venue located at Brewtown, Blenheim Street, Maidstone, Upper Hutt, Wellington. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Membership tier, start date, and billing preferences

Trackman performance data associated with your sessions

Payment information

Payment card details and transaction history — processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store full card details on our own systems

Communications

Records of any correspondence between you and The Windy Tee, including emails and enquiries

      CCTV: We may in the future operate CCTV cameras on our premises for security purposes. If we do so, this policy will be updated accordingly and appropriate signage will be displayed on site.

To manage your membership, process bookings, and provide our services
To process payments and maintain billing records
To communicate with you about your bookings, membership, and any changes to our services

To operate our competitive league and track Trackman handicap data

To improve our venue, services, and customer experience

We will not use your personal information for any purpose that is incompatible with the reasons it was collected.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, and disclosure. This includes:

Using reputable third-party platforms with their own security certifications
Limiting access to personal information to staff who require it to perform their role
Using secure, encrypted connections where personal or payment data is transmitted

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.

Third parties we share information with

We may share your personal information with the following third parties in order to provide our services:

      Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) — We use Mailchimp to manage our mailing list and send marketing communications. Your name and email address are stored on Mailchimp's platform. Mailchimp is based in the United States and operates under its own privacy policy.
    

      Trackman Golf — Our booking system, point of sale, and membership management are handled through Trackman. This includes your booking history, membership data, session performance data, and payment processing. Trackman operates under its own privacy policy.
    

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not share your information with any other parties except where required by law.

Section 06

Marketing communications

We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly at mark@thewindytee.co.nz.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not affect your ability to receive transactional emails relating to your bookings or membership.

Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct any personal information that is inaccurate or out of date
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records
Know how your personal information is being used and who it has been shared with
Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you believe your privacy rights have been breached

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at mark@thewindytee.co.nz. We will respond to your request within 20 working days as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

Privacy breaches

If we become aware of a privacy breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals as soon as practicable, in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal obligations. When we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
